North South Hospitality’s mission is to further the bar and restaurant industry in a positive and healthy way. North South Hospitality is a culmination of the lifelong successes and pursuit of knowledge by Katie O’Kane (Emmerson) and Vance Daniels. The company represents over 30 years of experience in every level of the bar and hospitality industry. The combined representation includes experience in bar ownership, bar management, and working in some of the world's most acclaimed bars. This collection of bars and restaurants represents an eclectic variety from fine dining with a distinct focus on hospitality to a more casual neighborhood community bar. The company represents a lifelong pursuit of knowledge that is exemplified by multiple awards, accreditations, certificates, and an extensive list of profitable bars. 

Katie O’Kane 

Katie O’Kane grew up in Rochester, NY and got bit by the cocktail bug while living and working in New York City. Katie has worked in and run cocktail bars of all sizes in New York, Boston, and Los Angeles. Katie is a Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers as well as a nutrition coach and a Registered Yoga Instructor with the Yoga Alliance. Katie is focused on bringing the highest quality to the cocktail industry, giving exceptional hospitality to every guest, and maintaining the health and wellbeing of her employees, partners, and herself. She also used to be a competitive Irish dancer and occasionally comes out of retirement.

Vance Daniels 

Vance Daniels was born in Raleigh, NC and has been working in hospitality since he was 15 years old when he began riding along on catering events with his dad for The BBQ Lodge. After working as a server, busser, cook, bouncer and barback Vance began bartending while in college at East Carolina University. After graduation Vance relocated to Los Angeles, CA where he spent 16 years bartending and managing everything from dive bars, neighborhood watering holes, Hollywood nightclubs, fine dining restaurants and upscale cocktail bars. He worked alongside and trained with some of the leaders in the industry and created and consulted on bar programs throughout Southern California as well as beer programs for the Patina Group in Los Angeles and Circle Hospitality in Cincinnati, OH. Early on to support his bartending dreams he also dabbled in the entertainment industry appearing in a few things you’ve never seen and co-created and produced the documentary about Jimmy Buffett fans, “Parrot Heads”. Yes, he has been to a Margaritaville.
